Matt is an emerging teaching artist and performer in the Washington Metropolitan area. He has performed with the Ellicott City Trombone Choir, Johns Hopkins Symphony Orchestra, Greenspring Valley Orchestra and currently the Kaya Wind Quartet, Alfred Street Baptist Church's Sanctified Symphony Orchestra and 1807 Horns. Matthew has also taught in Baltimore County for several years and the East Baltimore Community School in Baltimore City. Currently, he is the Music Director at City Neighbors Charter School. Along with teaching, he has held clinics at local high schools in Baltimore and the Washington Metropolitan Area. Matthew’s influences include Martin McCain, Milton Aldana, Hugh W. Barnes, Jr., Melvin N. Miles, Jr., Lloyd Hoover, Dr. James Lee III, and Larry Williams. Currently, Matthew is the Production Assistant for the American Studio Orchestra located in Baltimore, MD. Matthew studied trombone performance at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.
